Blueberries At Home

Blueberries At Home

When you bring your blueberries home, immediately take them out of the container and spread them out evenly in a shallow bowl or pan. You may notice a purple tinge to some of the fruit, however this will turn blue within 24 hours at room temperature. Otherwise, you should keep your blueberries refrigerated, for up to five days, to preserve freshness. Unlike Bennett Peaches, the flavor of some of our blueberry varieties is actually enhanced when chilled. You may either wash your fruit and allow it to dry before refrigerating, or wash immediatly before enjoying. (Do not refrigerate or freeze Bennett Blueberries when wet). For more information on freezing Bennett Blueberries and our other great recipes, check out our "Blueberry Recipes" page under "Blueberries".
