Offerings
Bennett Orchards offers 18 different varieties of tree ripened-pick your own-peaches and nectarines, with the harvest usually beginning in early July and continuing through the end of August. Popular varieties such as the "Blushing Star" white peach, the "Fantasia" nectarine and the "Loring" yellow peach are some of the mouth-watering treats featured at Bennett Orchards.
Located in southeastern Sussex County, Delaware, Bennett Orchards is able to take advantage of the Delmarva Peninsula's unique climate and soil to offer you this tree ripened fruit for a short period of time each summer. The fruit comes from trees that are carefully pampered, nurtured through spring frosts and irrigated during summer dryness as well as the harvest season.

HOW TO FREEZE PEACHES/NECTARINES
In our experience the best results are obtained by using Fruit Fresh ® which is available at local grocery stores. Follow directions on the label. Sliced or halved peeled peaches freeze well in ziplock freezer bags. Nectarines do not need to be peeled before freezing. |
PEACH COBBLER
For ease of preparation, we recommend using our own BENNETT ORCHARDS OLD FASHIONED PEACH COBBLER MIX which may also be used to make delicious peach shortcake. Simply follow the directions on the package. This mix is available at our orchard location.
